https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCTWl_z...

hi, please could you tell me the model number of the Singer shown in your photograph ? Many thanks ! John

Hi, it's a Singer 215G - quite a rare model nowadays.

Where to find a manual for a Viking Eaton EZ-6 model sewing machine?

Mewregaurd Hissyfit -

Hi, I can't find one for the EZ-6 model but a Viking Turissa may be similar:

https://www.manualslib.com/manual/817279...

Ronald Drysdale -

Does anyone know where I can get a manual for a Babylock / Juki 104? It is a sewing machine not an overlocjer.

Celia Banks -

Hi, as far as I can tell the Juki 104 is actually an overlocker/sewing machine and you can download the manual for free here:

https://www.juki.co.jp/household_en/hsm/...

Whereas when I search on Babylock 104 I get quite a few hits for Babylock sewing machines (not overlockers) but with many different models - none of them a 104. Manuals are readily available for these sewing machines.

To get the right manual for your machine, you will need to be more precise regarding the make and model that you actually have.

Hi I need the manual for a Baycrest model 184, could you please help me out. Much appreciated. Niki

Niki Murray -

Hi, it seems that Baycrest was not really a manufacturer of sewing machines, instead they merely added their badge to machines made by others, for example I have seen pictures of Necchi (Taiwan), Riccar (far east) and New Home (Taiwan) type sewing machine models renamed/badged with Baycrest.

I couldn't find a picture of a 184 anywhere online.

Presumably your model is an old one - from the 1960s-70s-80s perhaps? It may be best if you look for a similar looking sewing machine to the one you have and get a manual for that machine.

looking for Nelco model A-509-4 golden stitch series manual. Have seen the 509-3 manuals but the 509-4 has extra unlabeled knob/slider control. thank you

Dee -

Hi, I don't think you will easily find a manual for this machine but there is a Youtube video for this model available which explains the use/operation of the knobs and sliders:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41AToakF...

I think I can see the knob/slider you are referring to (unlabelled) and this is just for manually varying the zigzag width, on the fly (while sewing) if for example, you are doing decorative sewing.

Looking for an instruction manual for a vintage Home Electric Edison sewing machine, model 21 please help🙏🏼

Kimberly Jackson -

I think that your Home Electric Edison sewing machine model 21 is what is known as a Singer 15 Clone:

https://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/v...

You can download an instruction manual for a 15-91 Sewing Machine here:

https://www.singer.com/search/support?ti...

Although this may differ slightly from your machine (cosmetics, electrics) the parts & mechanics are exactly the same as for the Singer 15

I have a Alco Necchi zig zag model LTZ. JA58, 4858C, J-C30 Y. These are all the markings on the machine. I’m looking for any information on it. A manual would be great.

Patrick Williams -

Your sewing machine was probably a standard JA model, made in Japan sometime in the 1960s, and re-badged with the Necchi name, check out the link below to see if is similar to your Necchi:

https://www.quiltingboard.com/vintage-an...

If it is similar you can download a manual here:

https://weloveharristweed.co.uk/brother-...

A JA58 is shown in this link:

https://www.victoriansweatshop.com/post/...

Basically there were many similar sewing machines made in Japan in the 1950s60s70s and a multitude of name badges assigned by the importers (in your case Alco Necchi). I think the best thing is to find a picture of a similar old Japanese model and then seek a manual for that model. The link immediately above is to a forum which has many machines pictured, maybe you could browse through pages 1 to 18 on that forum for a match.

I have acquired a BayCrest Model 377 and am finding it impossible to locate an owner's manual. I'm willing to pay for it but the closest I can seem to come to it is the 366? Or 376? I believe. Can someone please help point me in the right direction?

Hi, I’m using the manual for the Elna SP free arm/ Elna Plana flat bed, which is the closest to my machine which is an Elna SP Flat Bed, is a manual available for the SP Flatbed?

Thanks for assistance

Orwell L McCoy -

Hi, What type number is your Elna is it Type 31, 33, 43, 62, 64 etc? The type number is generally shown by the power input socket on the machine.

Just working on pfaff 1469 and 1471 models. Managed to buy a service manual online for 1471. Would be good to add to collection if not breaking rules.

AlyBee -

Hi AlyBee , it would be complicated to upload a new manual onto this site & this would also downgrade the status of the guide to a work 'in progress' - until someone, other than me, is able to review and approve it.

It would be easier to upload the manual to another website and simply provide a link to the manual in the comments on this page. Good suggestion tho.

Best regards

Ronald Drysdale -

Sorry. Don’t know how iFixit post rules work. Just an idea.

AlyBee -

@rondo2021 I think, you are allowed to remove the "In Progress" - tag yourself. You will find it down on the first tab "Introduction" when editing. If not, I can do it for you. And - as far as I know - everybody (with more than 500 Points, as you noted, you can reduce this value) is allowed to add new content and documents using the tab "Details".

Silvana Gort -

Although I have not heard of this manufacturer before, the Bromberg sewing machine appears to be a clone of a Singer 15 sewing machine. You can download a manual that would apply to this machine here:

Hello, i try to find instruction manual for my sewing machine Mercedes 308. Could you help me to find one (in French, i prefer !) ?

Thank you !

Florence Bousquet

Florence Bousquet -

Florence, this is not a common sewing machine and it was not made by Mercedes.

It was probably made in the far east, based on a New Home, Toyota or similar design with a Mercedes name tag stuck on for export. I haven't been able to find a picture of this model online so I am not able to give an opinion on what the parent machine model was. Sorry about that.

Salve,

Nunzio iannelli -

Hi, Thank you for your post, I had not heard of this machine "Salmoiraghi"before, it would seem to be an interesting design and would be a rare collectors item today.

If anyone has a manual for this machine maybe they could post a link here for download.

bonjour,

PATRICIA -

As far as I can tell from a brief internet search the machine is what is known as a singer 15 Clone (but with a major difference in the top threading arrangement)

For threading the lower bobbin see here:

http://needlebar.org/main/15chart/110/in...

For threading the upper thread see here:

Hi, I have Elna Stella tsp air electronic machine. Luv it although it is old.

I suddenly stopped. Armature moves smoothly, power is on, but the pneumatic foot control is doing nothing?

Padicakes -

I have Elna Stella tsp electronic machine. It was working fine & just stopped? Armature moves freely manually. I have cleaned & oiled. Power comes on, but the pneumatic foot control is not responding? Could that control need replaced>? How do I know if motor is gone? Luv this machine, but no one in my area knows how to repair?

Padicakes -

Hi,

To check whether the pneumatic control is working, unplug the airline from the machine, then place your finger over the airline end and press the black rubber air bulb. If it remains pressurised when pressed then there is nothing wrong with the pneumatic foot control.

For power, presumably the light goes on when the switch is pressed, also check that the switch for the motor is turned on (next to the light switch).

Next go to the speed slider on the front right side of the machine and slide it up and down a few times between the tortoise and the hare, leave it on the fast (hare setting) and try to operate it again.

If it still doesn't work then, if not a blown motor, it is probably an electronic PCB fault or mechanical fault with the internal pneumatic diaphragm mechanism.

Both faults would require specialist skills to repair - I suggest you engage a Sew-machine technician for that.

NB PCB spare parts kits are available on ebay for £6 - if you search on "ELNA Air Electronic TSP, ORIGINAL PCB repair kit-ESM-1"

Hi I’m looking for a novum 1000 instruction book. It has green and yellow band across the front with stitch pictures on .

Hi Angie, I have not seen the book you describe but as far as I'm aware the Novum 1000 is almost identical to the Janome New Home 691. This manual is amongst those available above.

Looking for a user manual for a Zenith model 168. Cannot seem to find one anywhere online (only pictures). Hoping for some help as I am on a bit of a time restraint

Michelle Hemenway -

Hi Michelle,

This Zenith model seems to be a Japanese made machine (Brother Toyota Riccar or Mitsubishi etc) with a 'Zenith' badge stuck on for export. I can't recognise which company originally made it, so unable to find a generic or similar manual for it.

The following sewing/craft website has a picture of a Zenith 168 on its opening page so maybe the site's owner can help you in this:

Kandace Guillot -

Hi, Is this the machine?:

If it is, there are many variations of this Japanese JA-38 body and, if not able to find a manual for this exact model, it would be best to search for something similar.
