Einleitung

Diese Anleitung zeigt, wie der Akku in der Polar M400 ausgetauscht wird. Der Akku kann durch Tiefentladung oder durch eine Wassertiefe von mehr als 30 m beschädigt sein. Vielleicht ist sie auch nur zu alt.

In der Polar M400 ist ein wiederaufladbarer Akku eingebaut, der mehr als 300 mal geladen werden kann, bevor er an Leistung verliert. Entsorge den alten Akku fachgerecht.

    • Setze eine normale aufgebogene Büroklammer in die Löcher auf beiden Seiten der Uhr wo das Armband befestigt ist.

    It may be easier to push the pins out in one direction. Unfortunately, I do not recall which direction was easier…

    • Drücke nach oben in die Löcher hinein, bis sich die Befestigungsstifte lösen.

    • Entferne die beiden Stifte mit einer Pinzette.

    • Nun sollte das alte Armband frei sein.

    • Baue dann das neue Armband ein.

    • Entferne die vier Torx T5 Schrauben von der Rückseite der Uhr.

    • Entferne vorsichtig die Rückseite.

    • Entferne behutsam mit einer Pinzette den goldenen Kontakt vom Akku.

    • Nimm ein Öffnungswerkzeug aus Kunststoff und entferne den Akku.

    Very strange you haven't completed the procedure.

    It says 'To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order' How difficult is that? So, put battery in, carefully fold contacts back, etc, etc....if that is not obvious, then please do not attempt this at all.

Hello, thanks for the details !

The most tricky part: find the right spare part. I can’t find a replacement battery that could fit the original dimensions with reasonnable capacity.

Once the battery is changed, the M400 does not work. Do you have to press any combination of keys?

I read somewhere it won't start unless you plug the charger. Hope this helps.

The Polar M400 original battery is an EVE 3.7V 190mAh lipo battery cell (352826) with dimensions: 3.5mm (thickness) x 28mm (height) x 26mm (width). Unfortunately this battery is discontinued and is very difficult to get. However, you can use this instead:

352525 160 mAh cell for 6€

It has 30mAH less but the dimensions fit (3.5mm x 25mm x 25mm) . Since it comes with leads, the only thing you would have to do to adapt it is either expose the connectors, or connect these leads with the PCB connectors.

Depending on the model of your Polar device you can either change the battery yourself or you need to have it changed by a Polar-authorized service center that only uses Polar-approved components. With every battery change, Polar performs a full periodic and water resistance check.
